Happy 50th Dear

We celebrated the big FIVE- ZERO for my dear husband this month!! Where has the time gone? I can hardly believe it!!

We had a wonderful evening with Brooke, Ricky and company. When we all get together now it totals 12 people, counting our little Reese! We were treated to steak (a gift from Monroe's very sweet and thoughtful sister) which we grilled here at home along with baked potatoes and green beans. Can you imagine how expensive it would be if we all went out to the steakhouse for dinner? Then we sang "Happy Birthday" and shot popper-confetti at Dad. It looks like Luke is getting hit here but he isn't. I think we just caught him with his eyes closed! See Parker in the background? He is watching from a safe distance!

We gave Dad a skinning knife for his birthday, just in time for hunting season.

It was a great evening spent with family and a great day to be thankful for a wonderful husband and father!

You know what I've noticed with the Mathew celebrations? You always have some kind of strawberries in your cakes. I bet you never thought of that. And I must say they are delicious, especially mine this past Sunday, yummy!
I'm glad Monroe had a Happy Birthday, he is so giving to all of us!

Thank goodness for a new submission to your blog. I have been going through withdrawal every day as I eat my lunch and check your blog and there was no news...As always, wish we had been there, but so glad to observe from afar! Love you guys!

Ginger,
No, I haven't noticed the strawberry addiction but now that you mention it....all the way back to Brooke's wedding cake, huh? That is hilarious! Glad you enjoyed your cake too!

KayCee,
Sorry I haven't posted. I have missed blogging actually. Just seemed like the end of my summer I started cramming last minute projects/outings in and hardly had time to sit down. Now we are getting back into the swing of things. So kind of you to check in on us at lunch breaks! I miss you all. Love and Hugs!
